11 settembre 2001, una data indelebile. La rappresaglia degli USA non si fa attendere, prima in Iraq (con la storia delle armi di distruzione di massa), poi in Afghanistan. Il 7 ottobre dello stesso anno inizia una guerra che ancora oggi non vede fine. Gli americani pensavano (forse?) ad una guerra lampo, ma la realtà è stata differente. A distanza di 9 anni, il fallimento dei piani americani è sotto gli occhi di tutti. I Talebani sono usciti rafforzati e il consenso dell’ opinione pubblica, del quale i cronisti riferivano, è venuto meno. Ma ancora non si vuole prendere atto della realtà e si afferma di voler portare la democrazia in uno Stato che ormai non c’è più…
E poi c’è l’ Italia. Un’Italia che non ha il coraggio di staccarsi dagli Stati Uniti e di avere un’ autonoma linea di politica estera. Gli ultimi governi, di qualsiasi colore politico, hanno servito la minestra della missione di pace e della democrazia da esportazione. Discutono ogni giorno di tutto, specie delle "regole d'ingaggio", segno che qualcosa di diverso dalla pace, si verifica ogni giorno, ad ogni check point.
Oggi i caduti italiani sono 34, vittime di una pace che è presente solo nei vocabolari dei maggiori Capi di Stato. Trentaquattro ragazzi, molti del Sud, che sono andati a rischiare la loro vita perché avevano una famiglia da sfamare a casa, costretti, diremmo.
Ma si sa, quando c’è una guerra di mezzo, a pagare il conto, sono gli onesti. Noi conosciamo un’altra Pace. Una pace che deve essere tutelata proprio dalla politica, una pace che è garantita dal fondamento del nostro Stato, la Costituzione più bella del mondo e da quell’art. 11 che ripudia la guerra come strumento di offesa e come mezzo di risoluzione delle controversie internazionali.
Ai funerali dei quattro ragazzi alpini uccisi, un parente ha attaccato il Ministro La Russa: “Ora godetevi lo spettacolo”. Un orrendo spettacolo che non intende finire…
